UIC Presents at Diversity Abroad’s Global Inclusion Conference

UIC is a sponsor for the 2023 Diversity Abroad’s annual Global Inclusion conference in Chicago. The conference tackles the challenges and opportunities that diversity, equity and inclusion present to the field of global education and cultural exchange. Several UIC faculty and staff will be presenting at the Global Inclusion conference.

Kyle Rausch, Executive Director, Study Abroad Office; Jennifer Olson, Clinical Associate Professor; Marc Mobley, Director, New Student and Family Programs; and Claire Dombrowski, UIC Undergraduate Student, are presenting “Supporting First Generation Students’ Transition to College through Study Abroad”

Neal McCrillis, Vice Provost for Global Engagement; Charu Thakral, Executive Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity; Kyle Rausch, Executive Director, Study Abroad Office; and Mark Martell, Executive Director of the Asian American Resource and Cultural Center and Faculty, are presenting “Internationalizing the Curriculum and Campus of an MSI University”

In conjunction with the Global Inclusion Conference, this year’s Global Student Leadership Summit (GSLS) will be held in Chicago November 1-3, In GSLS, students participate in leadership sessions, engage in critical dialogue centered on self-reflection and identity, establish and maintain relationships with like-minded student leaders, and connect with professionals from higher education, the public sphere, and private sector.
