Supporting the future of Global Engagement and international impact at UIC

UIC hosts more than five thousand international students and faculty each year, and the faculty, staff and students engage in a wide variety of international learning, research and services.

The Office of Global Engagement supports UIC’s Strategy for Global Engagement and Internationalization. OGE collaborates with colleges and departments across UIC to expand the opportunities for faculty and students to engage in global learning and research. This includes developing faculty-led study abroad programs, exchanges, contract programs, and research collaborations.

The Task Force for Internationalization and Global Engagement investigates the international work of faculty, staff and students in order explore ways UIC could bring these activities together to form a vision of how UIC as a university can strengthen and expand its global presence.

UIC’s international presence and impact is more important today than ever before as our faculty, staff, and students navigate the unprecedented challenges … [of] the years ahead.
