Global Relations
Introduction
The Office of Global Engagement's Director of Global Relations oversees UIC’s international partnerships (including non-research agreements and contracts), compliance-related matters with international activities, international relations, distinguished international visitors, international delegations, outreach to the leadership and faculty of UIC's Colleges in support of opportunities and initiatives, and federal reporting for Section 117 of the Higher Education Act. The Director also advises UIC faculty on the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program and is UIC’s chief liaison with the Chicago Consular Corps, which includes all consular officials representing foreign governments in Chicago. The Director previously oversaw the Diplomat in Residence program.
