Mindy Ward Awarded First OGE Professional Development Grant
The Office of Global Engagement is proud to announce the first awardee of the OGE Professional Development Grant: Mindy Ward. Ward, International Services Coordinator at the Office of International Services, plans to use the grant to fund her pursuit of a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate through an online certificate program developed by Diversity Abroad. The pursuit of diversity and cultural awareness is a worthy endeavor that represents both the ideals of The Office of Global Engagement and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
In Ward's own words, "This certificate will help me develop to be a more mindful and impactful advisor for our students and a staunch ally for diversity for students and peers." OGE appreciates and supports the commitment of our faculty and staff like Ward who are expanding their professional skills and knowledge while furthering UIC’s global engagement.
