International Delegations

UIC welcomes international delegations for short visits throughout the academic year, primarily in the Fall and Spring semesters. Before planning your visit, consult UIC's academic calendar to ensure that the dates you select avoid holidays and breaks.

Please note the following:

  1. The Office of Global Engagement facilitates short-term visits of delegations, typically lasting no more than two days, that involve higher-ranking officials from universities or governments. Additionally, the Office of Global Engagement plans itineraries for larger visiting delegations representing multiple academic programs at a foreign university. Sufficient advanced notice of the proposed visit is necessary, and complete information must be provided on the form below.
  2. UIC's academic units (Colleges/Departments) must take the lead in planning itineraries for delegations from equivalent academic programs at a foreign university, or for other groups of international visitors visiting UIC for the sole purpose of meeting with that academic unit. A meeting with representatives from the Office of Global Engagement should be included in the itinerary as appropriate. UIC's academic units are encouraged to complete the International Visitors form so that UIC has an official record of the visit.

Contact the Office of Global Engagement at oge@uic.edu for more information or with any questions you may have.
